It may be common but pushups are the best work out to do when you are running short of time and even space. It tests your strength, works your core and even your upper body. Your body must be parallel to the floor, palms on the ground and core straight and tight. The best thing about a pushup is that there are so many variations as well which work different parts of your body and help you tone up and lose weight. Some variations are clap pushups, tap pushups, spider pushups, decline pushups and so many more such variations. A truly dynamic exercise which is a sure shot way to lose the weight.

Mountain Climbers are one of the best exercises to do in your weight loss journey. They are a combination of working your core while also including a bit of cardio and endurance. You are in the same position as a plank except your palms are open and pressed against the ground. You then bend one knee and bring it to your chest and then instantly switch the leg and bring your other knee in. It is a very dynamic movement because it is almost as though you are running while holding your body up by your arms. Thus it's almost like jogging on the spot while the body is horizontal.
