Bengaluru Cup 2015: Army XI's stick skills match their fitness, Air India beat home team

Winners from last evening’s match Army XI (M) stole the show away yet again with two scintillating goals at the 62nd & 64thminute. The game kept the audience following every single move of both the teams & closed with a nail-biting finish.

Binay Bengara scored the first goal for Army XI as a field goal & amplified the pace of the match even further. The second goal by Chandan Aind from the penalty corner sealed the deal for the Army side. Siraju AP (Army XI) was sent off with a green card at the 64th minute.

In the second match, Karnataka XI put up a fitting fight before conceding to last year’s Bengaluru Cup runners-up – team Air India.

Sheshagowda BM from Air India scored the first goal from the penalty corner at the 20th minute. This was followed by another smashing goal at the 26th minute by Captain Shivendra Singh as a penalty score. The first half was primarily dominated by AI & resulted in a third goal at the 30th minute by Joga Singh as a field goal.

Karnataka XI came back with renewed zeal after half time & fought to retain ball possession. Darshan scored the first goal for Karnataka XI at the 62nd minute from the penalty corner. Arjun Hallappa (AI) was sent off with a green card at the 52nd minute.
