Dabang Mumbai defender Matthew Swann was on Wednesday ruled out of the ongoing Hero Hockey India League (HIL) due to a calf injury.
Australian Swann has returned home for the treatment of his injured calf, which has been bothering him for the last five months.
The 25-year-old, who was picked by the newly-formed outfit for $78,000, but didn't play a single game in the league.
Swann, who was awarded the 2011 International Hockey Federation (FIH) Young Player of the Year award, wrote on Twitter:
