Asia’s leading sports broadcaster STAR Sports has announced the panel of commentators for the inaugural Hero Hockey India League beginning later this evening.
The channel will offer Hindi commentary on STAR Sports, while it will offer English commentary of select matches on STAR Cricket.
Former India goalkeeper Mir Ranjan Negi, former India captain and fullback Pargat Singh, drag-flicker Jugraj Singh, legendary forward Mohammed Shahid as well as striker Deepak Thakur will provide Hindi commentary.

Former India coach Cedric D’Souza, goalkeeper AB Subbaiah, Viren Rasquinha and Sandeep Somesh will provide English commentary.
STAR Sports will broadcast 31 matches, while 2 matches will be broadcast on ESPN and one match will be telecast on ESPN HD.
As many as 22 matches will be broadcast in English commentary on STAR Cricket. There will also be a 30 minutes highlights package on each match day.
The channel also unveiled former India opening batsman and MP Navjot Singh Sidhu as the brand ambassador of the league.
