Once again, there was no confusion about the best player of the Argentina team. It was there star man Gonzalo Peillat, who was busy today in keeping his defensive duties.

It was a rare match when the famous drag-flicker hasn’t scored in a match. He took three penalty corners today and used but had to stop short from scoring. His first attempt was blocked by a Kiwi defender whereas the second and third was saved by the goalkeeper.

Perhaps, Peillat kept the best for the last one. He did it a trickery by passing the ball to his teammate, who took the shot which was blocked again by Joyce before Martinez beat him.

However, he provided the all-important assist during the first goal. He saw Mazzilli in a good position inside the D box and squared it from a terrific angle, which split past the Kiwi defence. He is a kind of defender who can provide this kind of crosses. He developed himself immensely as a player in the last year and Monday was the perfect occasion to prove that.
