It rained goals at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday as the Indian eves rode roughshod over Singapore, handing them a 10-0 thrashing, to storm into the semifinals of the FIH Hockey World League Round 2 Event.
Poonam Rani drew first blood in the 4th minute before Navjot Kaur made it 2-0 two minutes later. In-form Vandana Katariya struck in the 17th minute before Anupa Barla scored another as India went into half with a cozy 4-0 half-time scoreline.
The Indians maintained the same intensity in the second half with Deepika and Rani Rampal striking early. Jaspreet Kaur made it 7-0 before Vandana struck thrice to cap off her second hat-trick of the tournament as India wrapped up a rousing 10-0 win.
