A day after edging the Kalinga Lancers 4-3 in what was possibly the best match of the Hockey India League thus far this season, an upbeat Soorma Hockey Club will return to the pitch to take on Delhi SG Pipers on Monday (January 6).
The Pipers, on the other hand, had an extra day to hopefully recover from a 1-4 drubbing against a rampant Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers, as a result of which they have now dropped to the sixth place on the points table.
Graham Reid's team might have had a bad day in the office against a dominant Tigers outfit but are more than equipped to handle the Soormas even as both sides play their fourth match of the Hockey India League.

The Pipers managed to pull off a couple of creditable draws against Team Gonasika and the Hyderabad Toofans with a win and a loss in the shootout that followed. But after a comprehensive defeat against the Tigers, the Delhi side will need to make an all-out effort to bag full points for the first time in the competition.
Reid will look to Gareth Furlong and Tomas Domene to slot in their drag flicks while hoping his own penalty corner defense manages to stop Harmanpreet Singh, Jeremy Hayward and Sanjay from the top of the circle.
