Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2024: Railways to face IOC in the final

Railways Sports Promotion Board has set up a clash with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Ltd Women in the summit clash of the Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2024.

In the first semi-final, Railways thrashed Sports Authority of India 4-0 to storm into the final. Neha opened the scoring for Railways in the 20th minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead at half-time.

Indian national players Salima Tete (34') and Navneet Kaur (38') scored a goal each in the third quarter to extend their lead. National team forward Lalremsiami found the back of the net in the dying minutes of the game to secure a 4-0 victory in the semis.

Meanwhile, Indian Oil Corporation beat Central Board Of Direct Taxes 4-1 in the second semi-final. IOC's Jyoti found the back of the net in the opening minute of the match. A first-minute strike helped IOC Women take a 1-0 lead.

Jaspreet Kaur converted a penalty corner in the ninth minute for the Central Board of Direct Taxes to level the scores at the end of the first quarter.

Beauty Dungdung scored a goal in the 17th minute, followed by a brace by Mumtaz Khan (21' & 28') to guide Indian Oil Corporation to victory in the second semi-final match of the tournament.
