Indian Women’s hockey team vs Japan
Time: 7:30 P.M IST
After a disappointing ranking round for India’s women’s archery team, the three ladies will be looking to redeem themselves on Day 3 of the Rio Olympics. Meanwhile, the strongest contingent that India has is that in shooting, and we will see a number of our shooters in action today.
The 10m air pistol for women will feature Heena Sidhu from Punjab while trap shooters Kynan Chenai and Manavjit Singh Sandhu also feature in the Qualification Rounds in their respective events.
Following a stellar performance by the Men’s Hockey Team of India against Ireland, the Women’s Team will be hoping to emulate the same success as they take on Japan in their first Group Match.
All in all, the day promises to be interesting, to say the least.
Times for the rounds following the qualifications have also been listed above, keeping in mind the possibility of our athletes progressing further. The exact draws, should this occur, will be announced before the corresponding competition.
Note: All matches will be telecast Live on Star Sports and are available for live-streaming on hotstar.com. Matches involving Indians will also be available on DD National.
