Hexham Wednesday card succumbs to waterlogging

The jumps fixture at Hexham on Wednesday has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.

Course officials made the call shortly before 8am once it soon became clear the situation was untenable.

Clerk of the course James Armstrong staged an "inconclusive" first inspection on Tuesday afternoon but, with more rain forecast, the decision was taken to abandon.
