#4. Josh Alexander vs. Ace Austin vs. Rohit Raju vs. Petey Williams vs. Trey Miguel vs. Chris Bey in an Ultimate X Match for the X-Division Championship - IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary
Josh Alexander's X-Division Championship reign met his biggest challenge yet at IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary 2021. The Walking Weapon competed against five challengers in the return of the Ultimate X Match. Ace Austin, Rohit Raju, Petey Williams, Trey Miguel and Chris Bey all had their own abilities and strengths to walk away with the gold.
This contest lived up to the Ultimate X matches of the past with a high-risk spectacle that kicked off this pay-per-view in a big way. There was high flying right off the bat with competitors taking to the air inside and outside of the ring. Rohit Raju brought humor and intelligence with his unique attempts to take down the title from the wires.
Petey Williams used his experience in the Ultimate X Match to get the advantage including a huge super Canadian Destroyer on Chris Bey, while on Josh Alexander's shoulders. Ace Austin and Trey Miguel both had their highlights, but things came down to Bey and Alexander fighting over the title.
The two men hung from the wires and traded chops while hanging from the X. Eventually, Josh Alexander knocked Chris Bey from the Ultimate X and retrieved the X-Division Championship to win the match. It was high octane and so much fun to watch unfold with all six men looking strong and kicking off Slammiversary superbly.
