The Motor City Machine Guns won the titles at last year's Slammiversary. The team is comprised of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. The duo are two-time IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions. They last wrestled together over 6 months back when Shelley had to take a break from wrestling due to legitimate health concerns.
Prior to his break, the duo lost their titles because Sabin was forced to fight alone following a backstage attack on Shelley. It would be a great time for Shelley to make his return in front of fans to assist his long-time partner get a big win.
The return would be poetic as well, since the Motor City Machine Guns won the tag titles at last year's event.
#1. Moose wins clean at Slammiversary

Moose winning clean at Slammiversary is probably the best conclusion for this rivalry. Chris Sabin loses nothing from defeat as he can always cite ring-rust from a long layoff as the reason for his loss. However, for Moose, a clean win would further legitimize The Wrestling God as the top star in IMPACT Wrestling.
Heels are usually expected to win using underhanded tactics to get more heat. However, when they beat another top star clean, it really establishes them as a monster.
Moose has all the attributes to be a top star. He oozes charisma, is serviceable on the mic and is excellent between the ropes. Him going over Chris Sabin is the best course of action for IMPACT Wrestling.
