IMPACT Wrestling have seen record ratings on AXSTV as a result of their working relationship with AEW

Since IMPACT Wrestling and AEW established their working relationship, IMPACT has seen some of its best ratings and viewership during its run on AXS TV.

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega's IMPACT Wrestling debut appearance during the December 8 episode shattered the company's viewership record on Twitch. The broadcast peaked at over 50,000 live viewers, which more than doubled IMPACT Wrestling's previous best number on Twitch.

This achievement was quite significant because IMPACT Wrestling's television viewership and ratings had dropped throughout 2020 in large part due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.

IMPACT Wrestling should realize that Omega's reign as the IMPACT World Champion could once again potentially break these new viewership records. If IMPACT wants to continue its recent prominence, having The Cleaner reign as the IMPACT World Champion might be the key component to this success.
