#2 Mickie James' in-ring return on IMPACT Wrestling
Mickie James made her long-awaited in-ring return to IMPACT Wrestling after six years. She battled Savannah Evans and was able to pick up a win over her despite interference from the Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo.
Following the match, Purrazzo poked a finger at her, seemingly violating the no-contact agreement between the two. Courtesy of the distraction, Matthew Rehwoldt was able to lay James out.
Backstage, IMPACT Wrestling's Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore threatened to strip Purrazzo of her title for violating the agreement but decided not to as he wished to see her drop it to James at Bound For Glory and also banned Rehwoldt from ringside for the match.
#1 Christian Cage and Josh Alexander get physical on IMPACT Wrestling
Following their summit last week, Christian Cage and Josh Alexander came face to face once again ahead of their big clash on Saturday. They traded verbal jabs at each other, with Cage stating that Alexander would fail to deliver under pressure. The challenger stated that Cage would never be the face of IMPACT Wrestling as long as he cashed in on another billionaire's paychecks.
Cage went on to say that Alexander is not the best wrestler in the world like he thought himself to be, and is certainly not even the best wrestler standing in the ring. A fired-up Alexander said he had heard enough and attacked Cage leading to a brawl between the two. Security and other superstars headed out to separate the duo. Cage held his title high to close off the show.
