Mean Gia Miller was backstage hoping to get a word from IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Kenny Omega. Instead, former IMPACT Wrestling EVP Don Callis answered. Callis said that Omega beat Sami Callihan at his own game, and hoped that Jay White would try to join The Elite.
Mickie James apologizes to IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo
After her incredible title defense at Slammiversary, IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo was met by Mickie James. The Queen of Hardcore Country offered Purrazzo a slot at NWA EmPowerrr, but Purrazzo took her appearance as a slight.
She insulted James, leading to The Virtuosa of IMPACT Wrestling eating a Mick Kick. James came to the ring today to "finish up the business" from Slammiversary, though that kick on Saturday felt great.
She called out Deonna Purrazzo, again offering to bring her to NWA for EmPowerrr on August 28th. James asked Purrazzo to be a part of history. However, she didn't apologize, which angered the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion.
Everyone wants a piece of the first ever Ironwoman of IMPACT Wrestling. Before Purrazzo could agree, she needed James to grovel at her feet and apologize. If she couldn't do that, Purrazzo would slap the taste out of her mouth.
At that point, Gail Kim came down to calm things down. She joined in with James, wanting Purrazzo to be a part of such a major event. Not just for IMPACT's sake, but for The Virtuosa's legacy. James offered her hand, and Purrazzo accepted.
