A controversial wrestler has recently confirmed she is a free agent. Despite making an emphatic return to TNA, former Impact World and Impact Knockouts Champion, Tessa Blanchard revealed that she was not signed to any promotion.

Blanchard shocked the world last week, as she returned to TNA after four long years at Final Resolution. It was a huge moment, as she entered the ring covered from head to toe and laid a beatdown on Jordynne Grace before revealing herself.

Of course, following her return, questions started being asked, particularly regarding her contract. The 29-year-old was with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, so her appearance on TNA was rather surprising.

Well, Blanchard herself, cleared things up in an interview with Contralona. She revealed that she was not signed to TNA or CMLL, and was currently a free agent. That being said, she wasn't focused on her contract, but on getting a one-on-one match with Jordynne Grace.

"I am very grateful for CMLL, but right now I am not signed with anyone—not TNA, not CMLL. Right now, my goal is a one-on-one match with Jordynne Grace and show who the best wrestler in the world is," confirmed Tessa Blanchard.

Blanchard is intent on proving once and for all who the best wrestler in the world is. With that in mind, she has set her sights on Grace.

Tessa Blanchard's career as a wrestler took a hit after allegations of bullying and racism

As mentioned earlier, Tessa Blanchard is quite a controversial figure in pro wrestling. Back in 2020, she had allegations of bullying and racism brought up against her. Allegations, she of course denied.

Multiple female stars were said to have come forward to report Blanchard, with some detailing a particular incident. They alleged that the star had spit on a fellow wrestler's face and called her a racial slur. The woman in question, Black Rose later claimed had taken place.

With such a huge controversy surrounding her, TNA's decision to bring back Blanchard has been put under the microscope by several fans. It will be interesting to see how the company navigates this situation.
