Things IMPACT Wrestling should do at Slammiversary

Will we see a new champion? Will we see Daniel Bryan?

#4 More NWA, NJPW, and AEW talent at Slammiversary

IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary 2020 saw a huge bump in its hype and, eventually, its viewers, thanks to an interesting promotional tactic. Following Black Wednesday where dozens of employees were released by WWE during the pandemic, IMPACT began airing vignettes teasing the signing of nearly everyone that had been let go.

The Good Brothers, Eric Young, Mike Bennett, Eric Young, EC3, James Storm, Bully Ray, and more were teased for months. Prior to the show, The Good Brothers confirmed they'd signed, leaving fans wondering who else would shock the world at Slammiversary.

A year later and we're dealing with the same question. Who will show up at Slammiversary? Looking at the teaser at the top of the page, Samoa Joe, Mickie James, The Great Muta, the IIconics, Kalisto, Chelsea Green, Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito and more were teased. IMPACT has also hinted at Daniel Bryan, which would be a major steal for them.

Will all of these names show up? Probably not. Samoa Joe's with NXT and some of the others are probably not in the States at the moment. Still, if they get just a fraction of those names while bringing in some more AEW and NWA talent, it could help turn this already stacked card into a super show that we'll be talking about for ages.

#3 The Ultimate X Match must kick off IMPACT Wrestling's Slammiversary

IMPACT has a great way of hooking viewers with its opening matches. It features the two best divisions the company has in that spot, the Knockouts Division and the X-Division.

If you want to start off on a high note, especially with fans finally in attendance, do it with the X-Division Championship. Josh Alexander will defend the title in an Ultimate X Match against Ace Austin, Chris Bey, Petey Williams, Rohit Raju, and Trey Miguel.

It could be the best match of the night with a group of top-tier athletes in the ring. Ultimate X matches are high octane and always a highlight of the show. They're the greatest stipulation in IMPACT's arsenal without a doubt, and for good reason.

There's no better way to kick off a show than with something like this.
