The All-India Kalinga Cup football tournament will be played from November 3 to 13 at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack in the state of Odisha. Once more the tournament is being jointly organised by the Department of Sports & Y.S. of Government of Odisha and the Football Association of Odisha.
In this edition of the tournament, the champions would receive Rs 3,00,000 (3 lakhs) and the coveted Kalinga Cup, while the runners-up would received a cash prize of Rs 2,00,000 (2 lakhs).
A total of 16 teams would be seen in action with eight of those teams coming from within the state of Odisha, while eight would be outstation teams. Amongst the outstation teams would be high profile sides like Air India, Vasco SC, Tata Football Academy, Bhowanipore Club, Aryan Club, Southern Samity, Quartz SC and Indian Navy XI.
Ticket prices for the semifinals and final have been fixed at Rs 10 for Gallery and Rs 100 for Ground Seats. Money raised from these matches would go into the Chief Ministers Relief Fund for the people effected by the Cyclones and Floods.
