Over hundreds of football fans in Kolkata came together at the newly-launched Coca-Cola fan park at Deshapriya Park to share the excitement around the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the sport on a whole.
The fan park was inaugurated by East Bengal captain Mehtab Hossain and former India footballer Prasanta Chakraborty.
The football devotees will be able to live every exciting moment of the first semi-final between Brazil and Germany and the remaining matches of the tournament on the giant screens installed at the fan park. Measuring 20 feet * 16 feet the screens will allow the fans to feel every kick and every save made during the match.
The park also has installations where the fans can enjoy even when the matches are not on. There is a playing area where provisions have been made for fans to form teams and indulge in juggling and dribbling skills.
There is also a tattoo booth at the venue where tattoo artists will create fun football tattoos for enthusiastic fans. The park also has an extensive food section where fans can refresh themselves with lip-smacking goodies and an unlimited supply of refreshing Coca-Cola.
