The Delhi State Women Football League Championship began today at the CWG Football Ground in Akshardham. Five women’s clubs from across the capital are participating in the State League Championship.
The five women’s teams taking part are Eves Soccer Club, Garhwal Heroes FC, Girls United, Growing Star and Hans FC.
In the inaugural match, Girls United defeated Garhwal Heroes FC 2-1, with the the second match between Hans FC and Eves Soccer Club ending in a goalless draw.
There will be no match tomorrow, while on Sunday, Eves Soccer Club take on Girls United in the first match, while Growing Star take on Hans Club thereafter.
