#2 A mixed day for the young Indian contingent

Much was expected from the young guns of East Bengal, but they lacked the firepower. Abhijit Sarkar and Brandon did not live up to the hype.
The U-17 World Cup star was ill-at-ease in the wing position and often lost possession in the attacking third. Sarkar never got a grasp of the game, even though he received abundant ball supply.
Brandon Vanlalremdika also had a produced a lacklustre performance and lacked the sting in his play.
He hardly created any chances and largely remained overshadowed by other players. Haokip was one of the better players on the pitch, was full of intent and created a few chances.
Haokip nearly found the back of the net at the half-hour mark, but the ball came off the sticks. Pintu Mahata made his debut for East Bengal, although he could make much of his opportunity, he needs a few more games to get settled in.
Playmaker Rohlupuia also had an average day and needs to improve his game to cement his place in the playing XI.
