Newly acquired Mohun Bagan signing Akram Moghrabi could go on to miss the highly-anticipated clash against arch-rivals East Bengal on January 21, as he is struggling to get a visa to India.

The 32-year-old was signed by Mohun Bagan as a replacement for Ansumana Kromah, who was released by the Green and Maroons after a string of poor performances.
The heart of the matter
The Lebanese footballer has had a stint with the Churchill Brothers in the 2012/13 I-League season, after performing well for his native club Nejmej SC in successive seasons.
He had a good season in Indian football as he scored 10 goals for the Goa-based side. After that, he went back to Nejmej and also had a stint with Tripoli SC back in Lebanon.

Now, Moghrabi has signed for Mohun Bagan but is reportedly facing problems in acquiring a visa to play in India.This could severely affect Mohun Bagan's chances in the Kolkata Derby, which is a must-win match against cross-town rivals East Bengal, on January 21.
What's next?
Mohun Bagan sight Moghrabi as the perfect man, who could play in Kromah's position and give better performances than the Liberian forward. As he has played in the I-League before, he is not expected to time to settle in the country and acclimatise himself with the local culture.

After releasing Kromah and struggling to get a visa for their new star player, Mohun Bagan are in a big fix. If Moghrabi isn't available to play in the Kolkata Derby, it would spell new problems for their new coach Shankarlal Chakraborty, who is struggling to get the club back to winning ways.
