Ex-Liverpool manager and club legend confirms his participation in the Indian Super League, which would start from January 2014. Although the legendary player and manager did’t reveal his exact role in the league

Mirror Football quoted Dalglish: ” The formation of the Indian Super League, scheduled to play its first season from January to March next year, is great news for football.

There is massive interest in the English Premier League in the sub-continent but in terms of getting people to play, India is largely an untapped market.

It will enrich football if the game develops in India and that’s one of the reasons I said I’d be happy to help promote the new venture out there.

As I understand it, the league will be built around eight teams in the country’s major cities and is designed to capitalise on the growing interest in the game.

I’ve seen the reports saying I’ll be making a return management over there, but that’s a little premature. I’m delighted to be part of it, but quite what my role is going to be is still up for discussion.”
