Ranbir Kapoor, Co-owner, Mumbai City FC said "Our fans have shown us tremendous support through our two seasons despite results not being the best. We have always wanted to give back to them and moving into the heart of the city is one such step. Mumbai Football Arena (Shahji Raje Bhosle Kreeda Sankul) is a great venue, with easy accessibility for people across the city. The support from Mr. Aditya Thackeray, MDFA, the BMC and everyone at the stadium has been tremendous. We can't wait to build this stadium into our new fortress, a place where away teams dread to come!"
