It was an even-stevens encounter but the manner in which Pune scored 4 past the Dynamos is unlike the team managed by Zambrotta. Shoddy defending from set pieces inflicted the killer blow to the visitors. The coach needs to take a note of these concerns if he wishes to take Delhi to their maiden ISL trophy.

The third goal was a result of a horrible lapse in concentration from the Dynamos defender Ruben Gonzalez. After making a string of excellent saves, Delhi goalkeeper Soram Poirei released the ball which was too strong for the defender to control. A poor touch from Ruben allowed Anibal Zurdo to latch on to the loose ball and thump it past the stranded goalie. The 4th goal was also due to a lack of commitment in the Delhi penalty area.

When the Pune attackers passed around in the Delhi box, the away side just watched the ball and none of them chased down the players. As a result, it was an easy move which saw Lenny Rodriguez finish off the game.
