The former Feyenoord midfielder was a part of the FC Pune City squad in the first season of the Indian Super League in 2014.

After just 4 matches, Goossens suffered a serious injury which ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Following that, he moved to Romanian side FC Voluntari and then joined Chicago Fire in the Major League Soccer.
He now plays for ADO Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie.
