#Career Goals in ISL – 18

The Brazilian joined the Indian Super League for the 2016 edition, where he appeared for Delhi Dynamos and was an instant hit. He played 15 matches, scored 10 goals, recorded 5 assists and won the 2016 Golden Boot, which saw him move to FC Pune City last season. At Pune, Marcelinho, as he is also known, scored 8 goals and registered 7 assists in 17 matches. The Brazilian has played 32 games in the ISL till date, scoring 18 goals and setting up 12 others.

Primarily a second striker, Marcelinho likes to play in the wings, where he likes to drift in and score or set up his team mates. The Brazilian has played for a number of clubs in his career even appeared in the Europa league while playing for Atromitos. In the Preliminary round of the Europa League against AIK Solna in 2015, Marcelinho scored 1 goals and set up another in a man of the match performance.

Marcelinho will be returning to the Pune City line up this season and will be hoping to further improve his performance from last season.
