The finals of the 5th edition of Milind Deora South Mumbai Junior Soccer Challenger ended on a grand note on Saturday, November 23. The event was a grand success witnessing as many as 5,120 children participating having represented 640 teams with 83% of them being from Municipal and Govt-Aided Schools.
The tournament is organised by the Milind Deora Initiative in partnership with English championships side Queens Park Rangers FC, and is sponsored by the Aditya Birla Nuvo and Omkar Realtors & Developers, and co-sponsored by HDFC Bank. The event is managed by Saran Sports.
Thirty eight participants comprising of boys and girls were shortlisted to attend a coaching camp to be conducted by QPR FC Youth Academy Head in late-December 2013.

Boys Under-12: Campion School A Team (Ali Khan, Pranap Bongirwar) beat Campion School B-Team (Dev Gupta) (2-0)
Girls Under-12: Bombay International School (Navya Joshi) beat Aditya Birla World Academy (1-0)
Boys Under-14: Navy Children School beat Antonio De Souza High School on penalty shootouts (3-2)
Girls Under-14: Convent on Jesus and Mary beat St. Annes High School on penalty shootouts (2-0)
Boys Under-16: Kendra Vidyalaya No.2 team (Punnet Singh Rawat, Shubham Tiwari) beat Bombay International School (Jay Poncha) (2-1)
Girls Under-16: J.B Petit High School (Kareena Joshipura) beat NSS Hillspring International School (1-0)
