Mumbai's Kenkre FC are once more taking part in the 2nd Division League as they take on Mizoram outfit Chanmari FC in their opener tomorrow. The match takes place at the Kanchenjunga Krirangan in Siliguri.Kenkre FC are participating in the tournament for the fifth successive season. Their squad mainly comprises of home-grown talented youngsters from Mumbai with a few experienced pros. A mixture of experience and youth this time around should make them strong contenders for qualification to the I-League.The club has been training at the Goans Sports Association ground in Mumbai in preparation for the 2nd Division League. The players have gone through a structured training program in terms of fitness, injury prevention/rehab and a series of practice matches.Joshua Lewis Kenkre FC Team Manager said, "The long duration of stay and the number of matches along with competitive teams in the 2nd Division is a challenge in itself.""The team that can sustain an injury free campaign will be successful.
