Promoted I-League side Rangdajied United FC, who are struggling in their inaugural season in the Indian top tier, have signed three IMG-Reliance contracted players in Sandesh Jhingan, W. Tomba Singh and Manandeep Singh on loan.
After Mohammedan Sporting signing five IMG-R players, the Santosh Kashyap coached Rangdajied United are the second club to break the I-League Professional Football Clubs Association dictate not to sign IMG-R contracted players in the interest of the top tier I-League playing clubs.
But Rangdajied United, who have shown their talent in glimpses, haven’t been able to adjust into the I-League and are still without a win.
Talented young Sandesh Jhingan should bring much-needed stability at the back, while former Indian Player of the Year Tomba Singh experience in the midfield, while Manandeep Singh will hope to recreate his form as a striker which he has shown at Air India and East Bengal Club.
Earlier reports also suggested that the Shillong-based club might also look to sign goalkeeper Subrata Pal and Gouramangi Singh, who have been on a trial-cum-training stint with Danish side FC Vestsjælland, but that deal hasn’t been signed yet between the players and Rangdajied United.
