Danica Patrick recently shared a post on Instagram to joke about her 'toxic trait'. The former IndyCar and NASCAR driver then shared her mother Bev Patrick's response to her story humorously confirming the 'toxic trait'.
On Thursday, December 5, Patrick shared a post that read, “Don't bother paying a therapist. I'll tell you what's wrong with you for free”. The former racer shared the story with the caption:
“My toxic trait”
Patrick later shared her mother Bev's reaction to the story. Danica's mother replied with the ‘100’ emoji and the laughing emoji. The 42-year-old then questioned her mother, “Me right???!”. Danica shared the interaction on her Instagram story with the caption:
“When your mom confirms your toxic trait”
Danica Patrick is arguably still the benchmark for most female racers who dream about driving in the American open-wheel racing series. The 42-year-old achieved great success in IndyCar and was the first woman to win a race in the series. She was also the first woman to get a pole in the NASCAR Cup series.
Danica also had quite a few confrontations with her fellow drivers on the track.
Danica Patrick's post-race confrontations in IndyCar and NASCAR
Denny Hamlin and Danica Patrick's falling out at the 2015 Daytona 500 is arguably the 42-year-old’s most infamous confrontation with a fellow driver. Patrick was involved in a car pile-up and later blamed Hamlin for not giving her any space.
Hamlin claimed that the former driver's rear end was loose which was why she spun around.
Another infamous incident happened at the 2008 IndyCar race in Mid-Ohio. Danica confronted Milka Duno after the practice session and went straight to the Venezuelan driver's pit box. Patrick slammed Duno for not giving way to the faster drivers. Duno ignored the comments and threw a towel at Patrick a couple of times during the confrontation.
Danica also confronted Dan Wheldon after the 2007 IndyCar race at Milwaukee. Patrick, who was on the inside lane, was cut by Wheldon who changed lanes while going into a corner. The 42-year-old spun around and lost position. When she later confronted Wheldon in the pits, Danica argued with and shoved the Briton.
