Danica Patrick has outdone herself yet again and this time it's off the racetrack. The IndyCar legend and entrepreneur's rose wine - the 'Danica Elegance Rosé' - has bagged two significant awards at the PR%F awards.

Danica Patrick announced the Danica Rosé Wine to the world in June 2020. The wine was sourced from Provence, the oldest wine-making region in France where rosé is a specialty. The light pink-hued Danica Rosé comes in an embossed glass bottle and boasts a dominant peach aroma with notes of tropical fruits and zesty lemon.

At the PR%F Awards 2024 in December, the wine won the Century Award with a perfect score of 100 and the Gold Award with a score of 92. The Instagram page of the wine, @danicarosewine, announced the exhilarating news with a post, the caption to which read:

"PR%F Awards 2024 The ultimate recognition in spirits and wine. Judged on taste, design, and story. Danica Rosé 🌟 Century Award (100 points) – Perfect. ✨ Gold Award (92 points) – Excellence. Cheers to a standout at the PR%F Awards!"

The Century Award is the highest honor given to 'unparalleled and peerless' wines by the PR%F Awards judges and the Gold Award gives a 'Highly Recommended' tag to the wine.

The private judging competition was held on December 4 and 5, where the judges tasted each brand "double-blind" before a group consensus finalized the recognition.

Patrick's official website describes the Danica Rosé as Somnium's French cousin. Somnium Wine is a winery in Napa Valley that the former IndyCar and NASCAR driver bought in 2009, which produces Cabernet Sauvignon.

On her debut in the 2005 Indy 500, Danica Patrick became the first woman to finish in the Top 5 at the iconic race. Three years later, she recorded another first by becoming the first woman to win an IndyCar race at the 2008 Indy Japan 300. Around the same time, her love for wine was blossoming.

In the Spring of 2009, she bought a property in Napa Valley after a trip to the estate with winemaker Aaron Pott changed her view of the drink. Though the Danica Rosé isn't sourced from there, the French drink is very close to her heart. When she announced the rosé to the world in 2020, she said in a press release on her site, danicapatrick.com:

"My appreciation for wine and the winemaking process has grown tremendously over the past 15 years. The Danica Rosé is the type of French rosé that I enjoy drinking year-round. It is crisp and light with well-balanced acidity."

In June 2024, the wine won a Double Gold at the Sunset International Wine Competition, which recognizes the best wines across the globe.

Danica Patrick, who covers F1 for Sky Sports as an analyst, is currently enjoying her offseason with F1 having drawn the curtains on the 2024 season on December 8. She has also been very vocal in her political support for US President Donald Trump on her social media channels.
