Swedish driver Felix Rosenqvist has branded Meyer Shank Racing as IndyCar's most underrated team. The 33-year-old joined MSR at the start of the 2024 campaign after parting ways with Arrow McLaren.
The Former IndyCar Rookie of the Year joining Meyer Shank Racing in 2024 and delivered two top-five finishes and seven top-10s during what was an impressive debut season for the team.
Reflecting on his first year with the team, Rosenqvist noted its upward trajectory despite challenges. He said:
"I think it was great. I’m really impressed by the team. It’s the most underrated team in INDYCAR. We’re probably the team that’s been rising the most from last year."
Looking forward to the upcoming campaign, Rosenqvist emphasized the importance of consistency. He added:
"We know what we need to work on for next year, especially during the races where we struggled to string a weekend together. We'll be dangerous next year."

Piloting the No. 60 Honda, Rosenqvist qualified a solid ninth place in the 2024 Indianapolis 500 race, one of the sport’s biggest stage. However, a mechanical failure on Lap 55 ended his race prematurely, relegating him to a disappointing 27th-place finish.
Despite the setback, Felix Rosenqvist described the Indy 500 as a pivotal moment in the season. The former McLaren driver told highlighted that the team had a strong car and was performing well before an engine failure ended their race. He told IndyCar:
“We had a great car. We were running really well; then we had an engine failure. But I think we did really well. We were the strongest Honda to that point. I was really proud to be part of that, even if I wasn't in the race competing. That was a magical show."
Looking forward, Felix Rosenqvist acknowledged that the team faced numerous mechanical issues during the season, though he clarified that these were not entirely the team's fault but were due to various external factors. He explained that the level of competition in IndyCar is so high that even small imperfections can prevent a team from breaking into the top 10. He stated:
“Just need to do more perfect weekends, and we'll be right there."
Felix Rosenqvist finished 12th in what was a winless 2024 campaign, with 306 points to his name. The Swede's best performance was a third-place finish in the $1 Million Challenge which took place at the Thermal Club in Thermal, Calofirnia. His only other top-five finish came in the season opener, The Firestone Grand Prix of Saint Petersburg, which took place in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The 33-year-old's only IndyCar race victory came in 2020 with Chip Ganassi Racing.
