IndyCar driver Colton Herta appeared on the Santa Clarita Star YouTube channel in April 2024 during the Long Beach Grand Prix weekend. The Andretti driver sat down for an exclusive interview with Tim Haddock, who asked the American about what he looks forward to the most, from his hometown.

Colton Herta is from Santa Clarita, a city in California. The Long Beach Grand Prix is also held in the state of California and hence the interviewer Haddock asked the Andretti driver how it felt to be back home. He asked Herta:

“What do you like to do when you're back home?”

While answering, the California native revealed his favorite food places in Santa Clarita as he said:

“So for me, it's all about food. That's what I miss the most when I'm away from home are some of the places I grab ready to eat. So when I'm back home, there's a few places. In-N-Out Burger is obviously the biggest place. You can’t get that anywhere in California or on the West Coast.”
“So in Santa Clarita, I love Solita's, which is a Mexican place. I love Tacos Romano's, which is a taco truck in Castaic. And then, let's see, I love Masa Ramen, which is a ramen shop in Valencia. There are a lot of good places out there,” he added.

Cadillac's F1 bid for 2026 was approved by the Formula 1 management in late 2024 as the newest F1 team will be backed by Andretti and GM. Mario Andretti was announced as one of the directors on Cadillac's F1 board, and he recently came out and suggested why Colton Herta should be a prime target for the move.

Mario Andretti said:

“From the beginning of this project, the team always looked at the prospect of Colton Herta to be one of the drivers. As far as I know, this is something we had not discussed lately because there's time, that still remains a priority.”
“I'm sure that's the direction he would like to go. He trained there, he raced alongside the likes of, just to say one, Lando Norris, who is obviously very prominent now with McLaren and so, he is from that era, if you will, still, young and vibrant and ready to go,” he added. [via Autosport]

Colton Herta was linked to the Red Bull family and the VCARB seat earlier in his career but couldn't finalize a deal since he didn't have enough super license points. Herta currently has 32 super license points to his name and needs to finish 5th or higher in the 2025 IndyCar season to get enough points for a Super license.
