Danica Patrick this week expressed her opinion on "men in women's sports." Patrick is considered by many to be the benchmark for women in motorsports. The 42-year-old made it into a sport that was and still is male-dominated and was somewhat successful. She's the only female racing driver to have won a race in IndyCar.

Danica Patrick was featured on Blaze Media’s broadcast with Glenn Beck. Beck uploaded a clip from the broadcast on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, the former NASCAR and IndyCar driver shared her take on men in women's sports. The 42-year-old said,

“How about the fairness of it? I mean, a healthy male testosterone level is a thousand. A healthy woman's testosterone level, these are, like high, good [levels], is a hundred. That's ten times more testosterone. This is how they're able to be as big as they are, as strong as they are. It's just not the same game.
“In racing, I had the car, but if I didn't have the car, I wouldn't be able to compete in basketball, football. I'm just not the size for it. So I'd be much more gymnastics...And there's just certain things that people fit for and don't fit for, but by no means do I believe that there should ever be men playing women's sports. I can't believe we did that. Like, I feel like we're gonna look back and we're like, I can't believe we did that.”

Danica Patrick recently shared her opinion on “what's wrong with media” regarding an influencer’s experience. Patrick also responded to Carmen Jorda's thoughts about women in F1 racing.

“Achievable across the board” - When Danica Patrick responded to Carmen Jorda's comments about women in F1 racing

Former F1 development driver Carmen Jorda said in March 2018 that the strength required in an F1 car is a barrier for women to succeed in the sport. She suggested that women should therefore focus on Formula E rather than on F1. She said (via ESPN),

“The challenge that we women have in Formula Two and Formula One is a physical issue and I think in Formula E, we won't have it. It's not for me to decide what's good for women or not in the sport. But in my experience, I can say Formula One -- not all the other championships, karting, Formula Three, GT, I think women are capable of good results in all those series -- in Formula One and Formula Two there is a barrier that is a physical issue.”

Danica Patrick responded at the time to Jorda’s comments and said (via FTW),

“I think that the natural stature of a man versus a woman is probably what’s deceiving because men are naturally – stature wise, strength, muscle mass – they are stronger. When you take the peak strength of a man or a woman in the world, they’re going to be different.
“But in racing, we’re not dealing with peak strength. We’re dealing with endurance. We’re dealing with strength but mostly endurance of that, so that’s not necessary. The level of strength that you need is achievable across the board, so obviously that’s just not true. And much of (success), too, comes from being relaxed behind the wheel and getting the car to handle for you, and then things also get a lot easier.”

Danica Patrick is very active on social media, with over 961,000 followers on Instagram. She often shares stories on her profile.
