“A major frustration” - Graham Rahal on his winless streak in IndyCar

Graham Rahal last won an IndyCar race in 2017. The American won both races at the 2017 Grand Prix of Detroit and hasn't won a race since. Earlier this year in October and suggested that, unlike other sports, luck plays a part in racing. He added that he sees himself as one of the most complete drivers on the grid and the results have just not gone his way.

Graham Rahal said (via IndyCar),

“I genuinely feel like on Sundays, I’m one of the best drivers out here. I really feel like when it comes to race day, there are not many drivers that can put a whole race together like I can. Unfortunately, we’ve had a lot of near-misses, and that’s a major frustration when it continuously bounces the wrong direction.
“I do think what people fail to mention about our team is the direction is correct. Things are getting better. People fail to remember that our team has taken a big step forward. They want to knock us and kick us when we’re down, but we never get the praise that we deserve when you look at how much better we have gotten in many regards. We are improving in many ways, and I think we could use another really good offseason,” he added

Rahal managed to get in the top 10 on only five occasions during the 2024 season and didn't have a single podium or top 5 finish.
