Danica Patrick criticized the media for covering news about OnlyF*ns influencer Lily Phillips. The adult influencer took upon the challenge of sleeping with 100 men in October this year. Phillips recently claimed that she plans to repeat the same but with 1000 men. With the media covering her latest announcement, the former IndyCar driver shared her take on it.
YouTuber Josh Pieters shot Phillips’ experience during the 100 Men in One Day challenge. Pieters recorded the OnlyF*ns influencer’s preparation for the challenge and interviewed her after the challenge was completed. Phillips reflected on the challenge in the YouTube video titled “I slept with 100 men in one day | Documentary” and said,
“It’s not for the weak girls, if I’m honest – it was hard. I don’t know if I’d recommend it. It’s a different feeling. It’s just one in, one out; it feels intense.” (43:00 onwards)
With Phillips now making the headlines for trying the challenge with 1000 men next, Danica Patrick lashed out at the media. The IndyCar driver shared US Weekly’s Instagram post about Phillips on her Instagram story and captioned the post,
“The fact that this is not just blatantly being criticized and making the news over and over again is what's wrong with the media. Say the truth. This is appalling. This requires no skill and zero self-respect. Then never give it a platform again.”
Phillips gave an update about her next challenge earlier in November. She said on Tiktok,
“You may know me as the girl who was with 101 men in a day. Now, I'm training to take it to 1000 guys in a single day. And on the 15th of December, I shall be taking on 300 guys in a day, which is the most amount of guys I've ever done. It's going to be hard, but in comparison to 1000, it should be light work.”
Danica Patrick is active on social media and often shares her opinion about various topics.
Danica Patrick once responded to Carmen Jorda's comments about women competing with men in F1
Carmen Jorda, the former Lotus/Renault development driver, became a member of the FIA's Women in Motorsport Commission in 2017. At the time, Jorda suggested that women should strive for the Formula-E series, claiming that women don't have the physical strength to compete with men in F1.
Jorda said (via ESPN):
"The challenge that we women have in Formula Two and Formula One is a physical issue and I think in Formula E, we won't have it. It's not for me to decide what's good for women or not in the sport. But in my experience, I can say Formula One -- not all the other championships, karting, Formula Three, GT, I think women are capable of good results in all those series -- in Formula One and Formula Two there is a barrier that is a physical issue. I think there is a big issue for women and that's why there aren't any in those championships."
Patrick rebuffed Jorda’s claims and said (via For the Win):
“I think that the natural stature of a man versus a woman is probably what’s deceiving because men are naturally – stature wise, strength, muscle mass – they are stronger. When you take the peak strength of a man or a woman in the world, they’re going to be different.”
“But in racing, we’re not dealing with peak strength. We’re dealing with endurance. We’re dealing with strength but mostly endurance of that, so that’s not necessary. The level of strength that you need is achievable across the board, so obviously that’s just not true. And much of (success), too, comes from being relaxed behind the wheel and getting the car to handle for you, and then things also get a lot easier,” she added.
Danica Patrick drove in the IndyCar series before making the move to NASCAR in the late 2000s. The 42-year-old is a benchmark for women in motorsports as Patrick is the only female driver to have won an IndyCar series race.
