Devlin DeFrancesco’s 2025 IndyCar entry with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing will be sponsored by EVTEC, a Europe-based manufacturing group that specializes in automotive parts. The partnership was officially announced by RLL on its website and social media accounts on January 10, 2025.
EVTEC will be the associate sponsor for DeFrancesco's #30 Honda for the full season and will become the primary sponsor for eight races of the season, which are Barber Motorsports Park, the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, Indy 500, Detroit Grand Prix, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Portland Grand Prix, Milwaukee Mile, and Nashville Superspeedway.
Speaking about the partnership with EVTEC for Devlin DeFrancesco's car, RLL owner and former IndyCar driver Bobby Rahal said (via Rahal.com):
“We take pride in our efforts to help our partners grow their business and look forward to helping EVTEC grow their already impressive client list.”
DeFrancesco has been in partnership with EVTEC since 2023, when the European manufacturing brand first sponsored the Canadian driver’s Andretti IndyCar drive, i.e. the #29 Honda. As the partnership continues with DeFrancesco joining RLL for 2025, the 24-year-old said:
“I’m so happy and thankful to the EVTEC Group and its founder and CEO David Roberts for believing in me, especially with their automotive and racing heritage and as they move forward with their US expansion.”
EVTEC designs and manufactures complex components for various automotive manufacturers, including the likes of McLaren, Aston Martin, and even a few F1 teams like Williams, Alpine, and Haas. Speaking about the partnership with RLL, EVTEC’s Chairman David Roberts, said:
“Automotive is truly a global business and I am delighted that EVTEC will be part of a winning team as we expand our footprint and reach into the USA to serve our premium customers.”
The livery for the EVTEC-sponsored races was also revealed as the partnership was announced
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s EVTEC livery for Devlin DeFrancesco's #30 Honda entry
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s official Instagram account uploaded the EVTEC livery that Devlin DeFrancesco will be running for the 8-race primary sponsored by EVTEC. Unlike the 2023 Andretti EVTEC livery (Pink and Blue) which only partially highlighted the colors of the sponsor’s logo, the 2025 RLL livery is in the sponsor's color.
The EVTEC logo follows a green-to-blue gradient. The same has been implemented with Devil DeFrancesco's 2025 RLL livery. The livery features an overall base of light blue, with hints and highlights of green near the front wing, and then a transition to green, with a dark blue around the engine cover.
Devlin DeFrancesco sat out the 2024 IndyCar season and raced in the IMSA series in the GTD class. The Canadian signed with RLL for 2025 as the announcement was made in December 2024.
