JHR announced the signing of David Brown with the team on December 2, 2024. He will replace Yves Touron as Technical Director.
The former F1 engineer has over four decades of experience in motorsports including working with Ayrton Senna.
“I am delighted to accept this opportunity and look forward to working with the team," he said. "The NTT INDYCAR SERIES is fiercely competitive, and it is a challenge I am ready to take on.”
Co-owner Ricardo Juncos said:
“I believe the wealth of knowledge and perspective that David brings will help us fight our way up the grid during the 2025 INDYCAR season. I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the incredible contributions that Yves Touron has made to JHR. His expertise and professionalism have been truly unparalleled. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Brown started his motorsports career with Williams F1 in 1981. He went on to work with McLaren F1 and Jordan F1. Over this period, he got the opportunity to work with the top talent from that era of F1. It includes drivers like Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill, David Coulthard, and Ayrton Senna.
Brown then moved to work in the ALMS and IMSA and expanded his horizon of experience to sportscars. He worked with Porsche in IMSA before moving to Juncos Hollinger Racing. The former Williams engineer (assisted by Jonathan Gormley) was also responsible for developing the hand controls used by Robert Wickens.
Sting Ray Robb joins JHR for the 2025 IndyCar season
Juncos Hollinger Racing is on the move as it also announced Sting Ray Robb as its driver for the 2025 season on November 20, 2024. The 23-year-old already has two years of IndyCar experience as he raced for Dale Coyne Racing in 2023 and A.J. Foyt Racing in 2024.
“To be sought out by leaders like Ricardo Juncos & Brad Hollinger and a team as driven as JHR means the world to me," he said. "We share a vision for what we can achieve together, and I'm honored to contribute to JHR's continued growth, as I also grow as their drivers. Excited to see what we achieve together with our ambition and the 'power of possibility.'”
The team has not announced Robb's partner driver for the 2025 season.
