Former IndyCar driver Danica Patrick attended the 2024 America Fest (Amfest) and shared a snippet from the event on her Instagram. OutKick Sports’ Instagram account shared a reel on its account and tagged Patrick as a collaborator. The reel had the driver addressing the public at the Amfest.
As Patrick addressed the crowd, she said:
“Don't you guys find it amazing that you can say, I love this country and it means you're Republican? That you can wear an American flag and it means you're Republican. What aren’t these things American.”
Amfest is organized by Turning Point USA which is a non-profit organization that advocates freedom and conservative politics among students. The Amfest is an annual event where students and other like-minded people gather for networking and to discuss conservative politics.
Danica Patrick attended the event with her friend Brooke Selmon. She posted multiple selfies with Selmon on her Instagram. The caption for the post read:
“I think one of the most important values in the conservative movement is family. Life is hard and you need people you can trust but will also hold you accountable.I love my parents and my sister is my best friend. I am so grateful for that. She was also the one that proposed the idea of going to this event last year.... I think we started a tradition. Now let's head to Indianapolis for Christmas with the fam!”
The 2024 American Fest took place from Thursday, December 19, to Sunday, December 22 at the Phoenix Convention Centre. Danica Patrick attended all the days and uploaded stories and posts from the event on her Instagram. Patrick also shared her experience as a speaker at the 2024 Amfest.
“Living and speaking the truth”: Danica Patrick on becoming a speaker at the 2024 Amfest
Danica Patrick attended the Amfest for the first time in 2023 as a spectator. This time around, she got the opportunity to attend as a speaker. She shared a post on Instagram highlighting her journey from a spectator to speaker. The 42-year-old wore a black top, a silver coat, and completed the look with matching trousers.
The caption read:
“In exactly one year I went from being a spectator at my first ever political event..... to a speaker at it. Living and speaking your truth - leads to your purpose - which gives you all the energy you need to make an impact - and your impact..... becomes your legacy.”
During the time between the 2023 and 2024 Amfest, the former IndyCar driver got more involved in the world of politics and was present during Donald Trump’s Presidential election campaign.
