Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) was inaugurated in the year 2014, and since then it has grown into the second most-watched sports league in the country.

On July 20th would begin the seventh season of the competition, and during all these seasons we have seen numerous exciting auctions.

The supporters expect their team to retain or acquire the services of in-form kabaddi stars to pave the way for a title win.

Among all these auctions, there have been some players who have failed to find a stable home at a franchise, and hence have to change their allegiance almost every season in order to feature in the league.

So, let's take a look at the four players who have been a part of five or more PKL franchises.

#4 Mohit Chhillar - 5 teams

Mohit Chhillar made his PKL debut in season 2 for U Mumba. During his time at U Mumba, under the mentorship of Anup Kumar, his game prospered and he also found himself a place in the Indian national kabaddi team which won the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.

After a couple of seasons with U Mumba, he was bought by the Bengaluru Bulls for a price of ₹53 lakh, making him the most expensive player at the season 4 auction. His partnership with Surender Nada during his time at U Mumba had caught every team's eyes and hence the Bulls also bought Surender along with him.

The Mohit-Surender partnership continued with their shift to the newly introduced side of Haryana Steelers in season 5.

But the duo failed to create the magic that was expected of them and Mohit was let go by the Steelers. His next stint with the Jaipur Pink Panthers in season 6 was also a forgettable one.

Since season 4, Mohit has failed to deliver consistent performances which are expected off a player of his caliber. In his first three seasons, he had scored 138 tackle points at a stupendous average of 3.37 tackle points per match.

But in the last two seasons, he has just managed 73 tackle points at a sub-par average of 2.14 tackle points per match. And on top of that, he has been found guilty of leaking a substantial amount of points in every match.

Nonetheless, the Tamil Thalaivas have shown faith in Mohit by picking him at a price of ₹45 lakh, and fans of kabaddi would hope that he puts on a splendid display and repay their faith in him.

K. Prapanjan has made a name for himself in Pro Kabaddi League as the secondary raider. With an increase in game time, Prapanjan's points tally has also seen significant increase and he has managed to score 100+ raid points in each of the last two seasons.

The young-lad from Tamil Nadu is quite agile and has scored majority of his points through his running hand touches.

For this improvement in his game, the Bengal Warriors bought his services for the upcoming season for a hefty price of ₹55.5 lakh. As a secondary raider to Maninder Singh this season, Prapanjan is expected to share some of his raiding responsibilities.

A right cover defender, Vikas Kale has had a roller-coaster journey in the Pro Kabaddi League. There have been seasons where he has been sparingly used, and where he had to make do with a place in the bench only.

Season 6 of the PKL turned out to be his breakthrough season as he featured in all 22 matches of the Patna Pirates, scoring 39 tackle points with three super tackles and a High-5.

Since his PKL debut in the second season for the Bengal Warriors, Kale has failed to find a stable home.

This season he makes his way to the Haryana Steelers, who acquired his services for a price of ₹34.25 lakh at this year's auction.

Dharmaraj Cheralathan (R), at 44 years of age, can still give any youngster a run for his money.

Dharmaraj Cheralathan, with an experience of two decades, is to kabaddi what Brad Hogg is to cricket. A player who lives and breathes kabaddi, Anna, as he is popularly called, came to be associated with the Pro Kabaddi League in its second season.

Since his debut in season 2 for the Bengaluru Bulls, Anna has been a PKL journeyman - playing for six different franchisees in six seasons. Still searching for a home, Anna has made his journey all the way to north India to represent the Haryana Steelers in the upcoming season.

Cheralathan, at the right corner, is any raider's worst nightmare with his strong ankle-holds. A veteran of 99 matches in PKL, Anna would hope to make it to a century this season.

In the PKL, Cheralathan has 216 tackle points at an average of 1.96 tackles per match. With his 21 super tackles he takes the second position in most super tackles list, and his 11 High 5s only accentuate the fear of Anna in the minds of raiders.
