Top-flight kabaddi action on the second day of the 66th Senior National Kabaddi Championships continued in full flow at the D.G Tatkare Krida in Roha Raigad, Maharashtra as the competition witnessed no major upsets for the second consecutive day.
The second day of the competition was split into two sessions, with 13 matches being played out in the morning session while 17 matches were contested in the evening session.
Rajasthan, Haryana stomp opposition in the morning session
The action in the morning session began with the games postponed from the first day as Himachal squared off against Goa and won 32-26 while Kerala squashed Tripura to claim a handsome 53-19 win.
Tamil Nadu and Puducherry clashed in the next game and in a thrilling encounter, Tamil Nadu sprung back from an eight-point deficit to eke out a 31-31 tie in both the teams' first game of the competition.
Gujarat opened their season with a commanding 50-16 win over Vidarbha while the Services team claimed their second win on the trot by a 48-29 win over Chandigarh. Karnataka stuck to their tried and tested success algorithm as they cruised home to a 44-24 win over Telangana, which had only won by one point against Madhya Pradesh the previous day.
Haryana and Rajasthan picked up the biggest wins of the morning session as a 52-15 win over the West Bengal State Unit and 59-10 win against Jammu & Kashmir respectively sealed two massive encounters.
One of the strongest teams in the tournament, the Indian Railways, decimated Goa 53-24 after taking a 12-point lead in the first half while Puducherry followed their tie with a 35-48 loss against Uttarakhand.
Tripura's poor show continued as they collapsed to a 03-39 loss to Rahul Chaudhari's Uttar Pradesh while Delhi picked up their first win courtesy of a 53-18 win against Manipur.
Madhya Pradesh recovered from an agonizing 1-point loss against Telangana to win big by 46-16 against BSNL while the only keenly contested match was Bihar's 36-33 win over Chhattisgarh in the morning session.
Tamil Nadu seemed to have drawn the positives from their tie against Puducherry as they slammed Assam to win 62-26 while Punjab got the better of Andhra Pradesh by a 39-21 margin.

Chandigarh rout Manipur by 60 points, big teams fire yet again
Odisha faced off against Himachal Pradesh in the first match of the evening session which saw HP win easily by a margin of 53-11 while Kerala's trouncing of Jharkhand by 46 points left the crowd in attendance in awe.
Hosts Maharashtra yet again put up a strong display as they shoved away a challenge from Gujarat to win 60-27 while the biggest win of the day was indeed Chandigarh's 93-33 win over Manipur.
Telangana and BSNL, having lost to Karnataka faced off which resulted in Telangana emerging victorious by a 43-26 margin while Chhattisgarh collected an important 37-27 win over West Bengal.
Punjab won 44-22 over Jammu & Kashmir while Puducherry jumped back to winning ways and won 64-35 over Assam. Goa finally managed to pick up their first win in three matches through a 47-30 win over Odisha.
Jharkhand got the better of Tripura by 38-11 while Services and Delhi clashed in a mouth-watering clash that resulted in Services' third win in a row, a 43-28 win in the end to top their group.
Similar to the Services, Karnataka too clinched a hat-trick of wins with a 42-25 win over Madhya Pradesh to top the table while Haryana's average show was enough to give them an important 36-14 win over Bihar.
Rajasthan and Uttarakhand continued their positive run with a 61-26 win over Andhra Pradesh and a 49-26 win over Tamil Nadu respectively while the Indian Railways faced off against Himachal Pradesh in a lop-sided game, that was won by the former by a 45-30 margin.
In the final game of the day, Kerala's challenge was made short work of by Uttar Pradesh, who won the match 49-36 and made it three wins in three matches.
