After the Monday break in Pro Kabaddi League Season 5, the 73rd match will feature the Bengal Warriors clashing against the Telugu Titans at the Motilal Nehru School of Sports in Sonepat, Haryana.
The teams are coming into this match on the back of contrasting results, with the Bengal Warriors settling for a draw in their last encounter against Dabang Delhi while the Telugu Titans notched up a win against the Haryana Steelers on Sunday night.
The Bengal Warriors will be on the hunt for a win after a couple of losses and a tie in their last three games and will thus come out all guns blazing. Maninder Singh was a livewire on the mat in the Kolkata leg and will look to carry his form through the course of the tournament.
He will be supported in the attack by the likes of Vinod Kumar and Jang Kun Lee since the availability of Deepak Narwal is still uncertain due to injury concerns. The defence will primarily be manned by the skipper Surjeet in the cover position and Ran Singh in the right corner.
All-rounders Srikanth Tewthia and Bhupender Singh will have to come to the fore in a larger manner and Tewthia particularly will have to avoid the advance attempts while executing tackles.
The Telugu Titans, on the other hand, will be high on confidence after their big win over the home side, the Haryana Steelers. The lead raider and captain, Rahul Chaudhari played his part to perfection amassing 10 points in the match.
He was assisted in the attack by Nilesh Salunkhe and Mohsen Maghsoudlou who picked up eight points between them and will look to carry the form against the Warriors. Vishal Bhardwaj was exceptional in the corner position in the last game as well as he registered a High-5 while Sombir, in tandem with him also scored three successful tackle points.
To complete the starting seven, the likes of Rohit Rana and Farhad Milaghardan will be included in the scheme of things, as the team will most likely feature an unchanged squad.
Bengal Warriors vs Telugu Titans match prediction
This match is one which will be a thriller of sorts with the team with the best defence having the last laugh for there will be Rahul Chaudhari on one end and Maninder Singh on rival shore, raiding for their respective teams.
Thus, this evenly matched encounter can head for a potential tie as has been the case in many matches in this fifth edition.
