Bengal Warriors vs Tamil Thalaivas Match Prediction: Who will win today's Pro Kabaddi 2017 match?

In the 60th match of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5, the home team -- Bengal Warriors -- will clash against the Tamil Thalaivas at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium in Kolkata.

This will be the first zonal encounter between the two teams. While the Bengal Warriors are coming into this match post a draw against the UP Yoddha last night, the Tamil Thalaivas lost their last match against Telugu Titans in the Mumbai leg.

The Bengal Warriors have so far put up a good show in the home matches, with captain Surjeet leading the way, marshalling his troops on the mat by example. In the defence, he is supported by the very experiences, Ran Singh and Rahul Kumar who has not been up to the mark so far and need to buck up with regards to individual performance. In the all-rounder category, particularly three men have come to the fore, Vinod Kumar who has been quite spectacular followed by Srikanth Tewthia and Bhupender Singh both of whom have been average on the mat. In the attack, Deepak Narwal's injury does not seem to have the hurt the side majorly with Maninder Singh putting in exceptional raids, fetching 21 raid points in two matches at home. He is supported in his strides by the Korean import, Jang Kun Lee who has been consistent through the course of the tournament.

The Tamil Thalaivas, on the other hand, have struggled right from the initial matches and continue to do so, perhaps due to the lack of experienced players in their squad. The skipper, Ajay Thakur has been quite successful in the attack but he alone cannot power the team across the finish line. The attack in the likes of D Prada and K Prapanjan has lacked sheen of sorts. While in the defence, Amit Hooda and C Arun have also failed to put forth a commanding performance. As such, there is an increased pressure on other players like Darshan and Anil Kumar which has bogged them down to some extent.

If one has to call the game, it would definitely be in favour of the Bengal Warriors given their form as compared to the Thalaivas. The only challenge for Bengal will be to keep Ajay Thakur off the mat and if they manage to do so, they can get a comfortable win over the opposition.
