The Noida leg of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) has begun, and it promises to bring out some delightful action. Just two days after their clash in Hyderabad, the Gujarat Giants and the Haryana Steelers will take on each other yet again, this time at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex.
The Giants and the Steelers have dealt with vastly different fortunes this season. The former are currently sitting at the bottom of the points table with only one win over the course of their six matches, while the latter are ranked seventh in the standings having won four of their six matches this year.
The two teams previously locked horns on November 7 in the 40th match of the ongoing PKL season, with the Steelers storming to a dominant 35-22 victory. In the match, Haryana put up a balanced performance, but the standout players from the team were Vinay and Mohammad Reza Shadloui. The former clinched nine raid points for the team, while Shadloui claimed two touch points, one bonus point, and three tackle points.
Outside of their match with the Giants, this season has seen the Haryana Steelers emerge victorious against the UP Yoddhas, the Dabang Delhi K.C, as well as the Jaipur Pink Panthers.
On the other end, the Gujarat Giants have struggled all season long, save for an opening-match victory against the Bengaluru Bulls. They are currently on a five-match-long losing streak and looked unimpressive in their outing against the Steelers a couple of days ago.
While raider Guman Singh scored 11 points to save the side from humiliation, the rest of the team lagged and couldn't deliver a satisfactory performance.
PKL 2024: Gujarat Giants vs Haryana Steelers prediction
Going into this PKL season 11 match, the Haryana Steelers are undoubtedly the favorites for the win. Their recent thrashing of Gujarat, combined with the Giants' lukewarm performances this year will likely translate to a victory for the Steelers.
Prediction: Haryana Steelers to win this PKL 2024, match.
