The Jaipur Pink Panthers and the Telugu Titans square off in the second match of a PKL 11 doubleheader on the penultimate day of the Noida leg at the Noida Indoor Stadium.
Jaipur has had a middling season despite their immense quality, winning seven out of 14 matches, and their inconsistency sees them with only two wins in their last five outings. Their previous encounter saw them lose 29-33 to the UP Yoddhas, with their raiding unit not able to break down their defense.
The Telugu Titans, meanwhile, have delivered really well as a unit despite losing captain Pawan Sehrawat, and sit in second on the points table, with nine wins in 14 matches. Ashish Narwal and Vijay Malik have starred for them in the raiding department, with Sagar Sethpal leading the defensive department.
This should be a thrilling clash between two top teams, and the Titans would love to take revenge on Jaipur after they lost 22-52 in the reverse fixture. Let's now look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks in this fixture.
#3 Krishan Dhull (DEF) (TEL)
Krishan Dhull could return to the Titans' starting 7 to replace Shankar Gadai in the right corner position. One of their biggest signings at the auction, Krishan has flattered to deceive, scoring only 16 tackle points in 12 appearances for them.
However, he has come off the bench to replace Shankar in recent outings, and that suggests he could earn a recall to their starting lineup for this fixture. Dream11 players know his point-scoring ability, especially when you consider that he was the second-best defender last season.
If he makes it to the starting 7, Krishan Dhull could be a powerful Dream11 differential.
#2 Ankit Jaglan (DEF) (TEL)
The Telugu Titans' left corner isn't their highest-point-scoring defender, which is a surprise, as that is the most point-scoring position across the defensive line. However, after a sub-par start to the season, Ankit has gotten better, scoring 23 tackle points in 14 appearances.
He scored two tackle points in their win over the U Mumba last time out, and Ankit could build on that momentum against a Jaipur team that's heavily reliant on the right-raiding Arjun Deshwal.
Left corner defenders are Fantasy gold, and to have a starting defender with extremely low ownership is very rare, and while a risky option, Ankit could be a strong Dream11 surprise pick.
#1 Surjeet Singh (DEF) (JAI)
Surjeet Singh could be a potential match-winner and an excellent Dream11 surprise option when these two sides face off tonight. The experienced right-cover defender has come under fire for his increasingly error-prone performances, and yet, his tackle point tally of 25 points in 14 matches is pretty decent, albeit with scope for improvement.
Surjeet starred against the Titans in the reverse fixture, scoring four tackle points in their dominating 52-22 win, and he'll look to replicate the same this time around as well. A proven performer with a very high points ceiling if he gets going, Surjeet is a strong differential option for your teams.
