This has been made possible due to the country's diligent efforts at the grassroots level to promote the sport, beginning at school. India suffered a shock defeat in the inaugural match of Kabaddi World Cup as they were upstaged 32-34 by South Korea. The Republic of Korea had beaten India in the opening match of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup, fuelling India’s bid for retribution this time. That was more than just a win for an underdog; Korea's win was the greatest upset the sport has ever witnessed. Jang Kung Lee will lead his team and will try to be on the top of the group match. This team has many experienced players. This team can be a surprise package for everyone. Especially for Iran as both are sharing same Group B.
