Kenya is the only country to represent the continent of Africa at the Kabaddi Masters Dubai. They more than make up for with sheer hard work and the will to learn and perform. Blessed with a natural gift for sports and athletics, the team can credit themselves and their coach for helping them in preparing for the big event. Having faced and overcome innumerable hurdles to get to the competition, the stage is now set for Kenya to leave their mark at the highest level.
The newcomer Kenya is in Group A with India and Pakistan. They will face their first match in Kabaddi Masters Dubai with the world champion India.
"I already see a place for kabaddi in the African Games in the near future," Laventer Oguta, Kenya Kabaddi Federation president who doubles up as the coach, said.
Kenya team extremely well in Kabaddi World Cup 2016, they thrash the USA by huge margin 74-19 and beats Japan by 48-27. Iran edges a close match against them and won by just 5 point difference. The team is as follow:
