Who will win? Let’s find out.

Good evening to Kabaddi lovers all over the country. A warm welcome to everyone to a mouth watering contest that we have in our hand today between table toppers Puneri Paltan and home team Jaipur Pink Panthers. Mind you there is a lot at stake today at Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Indoor Stadium as the winner of this contest goes into the third leg as the league topper.

Both the teams, who will be playing their 5th game of the tournament today, have had contrasting beginnings to their title campaign. Puneri Paltan started on a rousing note to register back to back wins against Telugu Titans and U Mumba. Their campaign was then put in a reverse gear by Patna Pirates who beat them 30-24. A draw against the least formidable side In the tournament, Dabang Delhi, shouldn’t be considered anything less than a loss. So, the match is crucial as the men in orange would desperately seek to return to winning ways.

Captain Manjeet Chiilar, who is easily one ofthe best all rounders in the league, would need to put his best step forward to bring to halt the rampaging Panthers. After losing their first game to U Mumba, the team has gone from strength to strength to have put themselves in the second position in the points table. They have enjoyed playing in front of their home crowds and have given them enough reason to cheer about as well with 2 victories and one come from behind draw against the Bengaluru Bulls.

The team playing without the services of Rohit Rana has been led admirably well by Jasvir Singh, who himself has hit a purple patch in the last few games. Apart from Jasvir, Shabeer Bapu too came good in the last game against Bengal Warriors, while Rajesh Narwal has been excellent right from the first game. Even, young Tushar Patil has impressed in patches.

The team will though be battling fatigue on Saturday night as they will be on the mat for the 4th time in 4 days. Puneri Paltan, who themselves found their home leg plagued by tiredness towards the end would be waiting to exploit this condition of their opponents. But Jaipur have traditionally enjoyed the upper hand against this team as they have lost just once to Puneri Paltan in the past.

And with the kind of form their maverick skipper has picked up, they would be hoping to make short work of the Paltans to finish their home leg on a high and displace Pune from the table topper’s position before heading southwards to Hyderabad.
