Nepal national Kabaddi championship: Army, Central Region win title

Nepal Army and Central Region won the women’s and men’s title respectively of the first LUMBINI Nepal National Kabaddi Championship concluded here at Dhangadi, a far-western city of Nepal.

In the women’s final, Nepal Army defeated Nepal Police 5 – 4 to lift the inaugural title while Central Region defeated Far Western Region 14 – 13 to lift the men’s title.

Menuka Rajbanshi was declared the best player in the women’s category while Nawal Rana was declared best player in the men’s category of the championship.

Officials from National Sports Council and Nepal Kabaddi Association distributed the prizes to the winners and runners-up. A total of 8 teams in the women’s category and 7 teams in the men’s category participated in the championship.
